I’ve always been curious about the idea of taking cold showers. A relative of mine has been doing that for the many years as a way of strengthening her immune system. I have tried doing the same from time to time, but consistency has never come easy.
About a month ago I met two athletes through the Boston Health Optimization group. Both are Wim Hof Method instructors Kiki Bosch and Samuel Whiting, who were excited to share their passion and expertise with our community of Wellness Insiders.
In the next two episodes we’ll be talking about Wim Hof method and different aspects that the training concentrates on specifically cold exposure and breathwork.
In part 1 of this discussion you’ll meet Kiki Bosch. Kiki is an adventurer, nutritionist and biohacker from the Netherlands.
Described as a daredevil and female Wim Hof, she is an experienced ice freediver and extreme cold specialist. Kiki has recently dived some of the coldest waters in the world.
During her last trip to Greenland Kiki swam for prolonged periods of time in sub-zero glacial waters with nothing but a swimsuit on.
Kiki continues to explore the world and is currently furthering her education in health sciences and her training as a Wim Hof Method instructor.
Her life motto’s are ‘Disturb the comfort’ and ‘The magic is in the doing.’
During this episode, she will share how cold exposure helped her to overcome trauma and change her mindset and life.
